NEW HALL 18TH CENTURY ENGLISH PORCELAIN TEABOWL AND SAUCER, THE PINK RIBBON  PATTERN, NUMBER 186

"An attractive 18th century English porcelain New Hall cottage sprigs decorated teabowl and saucer. It features the popular New Hall Pink Ribbon pattern number 186, hand painted on a Staffordshire hard paste porcelain body, which dates from c.1790. Good New Hall 18th century teabowl and saucer sets are becoming increasingly difficult to find. Nice one!" Antiques Expert Hamilton Bear.

References: See New Hall and Its Imitators,  David Holgate plate 55 for another hard paste piece in this pattern.
Dimensions: width saucer 132 mm max. height teabowl 50 mm max.
Marks: none.
Condition: A fine set in excellent condition with no rubbing wear or fading to pattern; no chips or restoration. There is some slight surface scratching utensil wear to the glaze of the saucer as typically found but this does not detract from the overall quality of the piece.
