FINEST LIVERPOOL DELFT TIN-GLAZED EARTHENWARE LARGE BLUE AND WHITE PLATE WITH THE TWO COCKERELS PATTERN C.1750-60

"A rare Liverpool English Delftware tin-glazed plate decorated in blue and white with chinoiserie Two Cockerels pattern. Finest delftware decorative style: central figurative decoration, inner border pattern and markings/pattern to reverse - are all features of other documented Liverpool tin-glazed pottery examples. Identification and attribution of English Delft or tin-glazed earthenware, to specific areas and maker is always difficult. Unusual to find an early example in such great condition with such an authoritative reference (see below). It looks so good on display with other fine antiques and will enhance any collection of English pottery." Antiques Expert Hamilton Bear.
