RARE STAFFORDSHIRE PORCELAIN COFFEE CUP, NEW HALL STYLE PATTERN: A & E KEELINGS FACTORY X PATTERN 299 C.1790-95
"An interesting English porcelain coffee cup from Staffordshire dating from c.1790 with classic hand painted polychrome New Hall type cottage sprigs decoration. It is by Factory X maker A & E Keeling. A good decorative reference example." Antiques Expert Hamilton Bear

Dimensions: height 65 mm max.
Marks: an interesting workman's mark in iron red to base.
References: Early Keelings wares were formerly known by the device Factory X. This cup came from a tea service with teapot of known and 'unique' Keeling shape marked with pattern number 299.
Condition: A good reference and display item for the serious cups and cans collector. Condition report: Generally good to visually excellent with no staining as is often found. One tiny rim chip with associated fine clear hairline extends down across the piece to the front but is difficult to spot. Also a fine shorter glaze hairline from rim on outside which is near "invisible" in general view. Piece is recommended as very robust and not weakened by the above.
