RARE CLASSIC LANCASTER & SONS POTTERY ART DECO COTTAGE GARDEN PATTERN LARGE FOOTED BOWL C.1930

"A lovely example of a 1920s/1930s art deco footed bowl of angular deco shape. The stylised art deco cottage pattern, in bright vibrant colours, is a classic. Note the deco sun ray landscape backdrop. Wonderful decorative quality for the best art deco display or dresser. It was made by Lancaster & Sons of Staffordshire. The mark dates from 1921. Dimensions: height 110 mm max. width (diagonal) 260 mm max.

Marks: to base as illustrated.

Condition: excellent condition for display with no significant wear to decoration which is clean and bright. No restoration or chips and cracks to pottery. Tiny dent in flat top of EPNS plated ring to rim. This does not show at all from the front and does not detract from the wonderful decorative qualities of this antique.
