ART DECO
STAFFORDSHIRE A. J. WILKINSON CLARICE CLIFF
DESIGNED BOMB SHAPE SUGAR SIFTER, CELTIC
ROSE PATTERN C.1935
"An attractive sugar sifter
with 'deco' chrome cover made by A. J. Wilkinson, Royal
Staffordshire Pottery, Burslem - best known as 'the Clarice Cliff
pottery people'. A great art deco bomb shape with the
angular tripod-fin supports. There is the Clarice Cliff magic in
this fabulous shape which is a part of a range considered to have
been designed by Cliff. The beautiful Celtic Rose pattern
decoration is very all over chintz and understandably popular."
