RARE STAFFORDSHIRE PORCELAIN MILES MASON COFFEE CUP, WITH NEW HALL COTTAGE SPRIGS PATTERN 208 C.1795-1800

"An attractive rare Staffordshire English porcelain Miles Mason coffee cup with a pronounced thumb rest handle. It is hand painted with cottage sprigs style decoration in New Hall pattern 208 and dates from c.1795. An interesting reference and display example for collectors to enjoy." References: This cottage sprigs pattern was popular with a number of manufacturers and is also found as New hall pattern 208; Minton pattern 4; and Factory Y pattern 111 or 11?

Condition: Very good. No serious damages or restoration. There is a short faint glaze hairline from rim near handle and patches of tea/coffee staining discolouration to base of cup only.
