ORIVIT CONTINENTAL ART NOUVEAU GERMAN PEWTER CREAM JUG C.1900-1912

"An attractive art nouveau period Continental Orivit German pewter cream jug, superbly modelled with sinuous flowing lines and organic decorative elements based on plant life - classic art nouveau. Note the cast decoration of blossoming tree to front and the handle formed from plant tendrils. A stylish little gem and a rare survivor." Antiques Expert Hamilton Bear.

 

Dimensions: height 90 mm max., approximately 3 1/2 inches. width 78 mm max.

Marks: Orivit and pattern number as illustrated.

Condition: Excellent for display. There is very minor scratching/surface wear - which is unusual for an antique of this age and type.
