WHITEFRIARS ART GLASS CASED BLUE VASE KNOBBLY WARE STYLE PATTERN C.1960-68
"Once easy to find, these Whitefriars and similar post-war art glass pieces are become scarcer and more expensive as they disappear into worldwide collector cabinets and distinctive decor schemes. This stunning knobbly ware style vase - in an exquisite shade of cased blue, is attributed to Whitefriars Glass. It was made between c.1960 and c.1968." Antiques Expert Hamilton Bear.

References: The Whitefriars range of knobbly ware pieces were designed by William Wilson and Harry Dyer.
Dimensions: height 160 mm max. width 85 mm max.
Marks: Distinct pontil mark - as typically found on Whitefriars decorative glass.
Condition: No significant defects in our opinion. A short light surface scratch is visible on close scrutiny. This is difficult to spot and is lost in any general display view. We rate this A1 for display and a great example. There is minor scuffing wear, as usually found, to the underside base.
