"Rare Staffordshire English porcelain lobed dessert plate produced around 1806-10 by the early Minton and Poulson partnership, or after 1808, by just plain factory Minton. This attractive Mythical Lion pattern 106 is illustrated in the original pattern books is a rare surviving example of early Minton porcelain. This pattern is not printed but hand-painted overglaze in polychrome enamels. A very special reference piece of English porcelain for the serious enthusiast and academic collector of English pottery and porcelain. And it looks so good on display!" Marks: As illustrated, a curious scripted letter m ? and pattern number.
Dimensions: width 173  mm max.
Condition: In very good condition and excellent for display. Condition report: Patches  of uneven enamel wear to blue roundel. Tiny specs  of enamel wear to decoration and rubbing to brown line rim. Short knife wear scratch to enamel of centre decoration. Overall a good set and very nice example of a rare piece.
