Staffordshire Blue and White transfer printed soup dish Northern Scenery Scottish views by John Meir & Sons c.1838-55

"The Northern Scenery series of Scottish views  are a particularly beautiful set of patterns featuring some of the finest scenic views in Scotland of castles, hill and glen. All views are named in script on the reverse and finely transfer printed in a delicate shade of lilac blue. The superb lace and flowers border pattern is exquisitely detailed and fully enhances the main pattern subject of "Kilchurn Castle. Loch Awe". Superb attractive, best transfer printed English blue pottery produced in Staffordshire circa 1838-55 by the highly collectable Staffordshire blue and white transferware makers John Meir and Son of Tunstall."Antiques Expert Hamilton Bear.
